Super Jeep Adventure from Jökulsárlón
Your adventure begins at Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon.
From here, board a Super Jeep for an exciting off-road journey towards Breiðamerkurjökull. The drive takes approximately 30 minutes and brings you deep into the dramatic glacier landscape.
After leaving the vehicle, you’ll walk for approximately 15 minutes each way over uneven terrain to reach the ice.
Explore the Ice of Breiðamerkurjökull
Before entering the glacier area, your guide provides a safety briefing and the necessary equipment. This includes a helmet, headlamp and glacier crampons.
Then, follow your certified glacier guide to explore one of the natural ice features of Breiðamerkurjökull.
Depending on the season and conditions, the ice can range from brilliant blue to lighter shades of white. The size, shape and colour also change as the glacier evolves.
Your guide will explain how these remarkable formations develop and why no two seasons on the glacier are exactly alike.
A Different Experience Every Winter
Natural ice caves and canyons are constantly changing. Therefore, the exact location and ice formation visited cannot be guaranteed in advance.
The expert glacier team monitors conditions and selects the best accessible site for each tour. Safety is always the highest priority.
Group size is limited to 14 guests per guide. However, Jökulsárlón and the surrounding glacier are popular destinations, so other groups may also be exploring the area.
This 2.5-hour tour is rated easy and is suitable for participants from 6 years old who are comfortable walking on uneven terrain.

Travel off-road for approximately 30 minutes towards Breiðamerkurjökull, an outlet glacier of the mighty Vatnajökull.
Gear Up & Walk to the Ice
Once you reach the glacier area, your guide provides a safety briefing and all necessary equipment.
You’ll receive a helmet, headlamp and glacier crampons before setting off on foot.
