This tour is a great addition to a self-drive holiday in Iceland.
After meeting up with your group on location, you will drive to the snowmobile base on Vatnajökull glacier. Once at the base, your local guide will show you how to use the snowmobiles so don’t worry if this is your first time riding. You will also be supplied with the appropriate safety equipment and warm overalls.
During the tour, you will ride snowmobiles through some incredible wild and rugged landscapes. You’ll ride through stunning valleys and get a picture perfect view of some of Iceland’s highest peaks. The tour is led by an expert guide who will not only guide you through this beautiful landscape but also share his knowledge of the area. You’ll learn about the glacier and its icefields, and their impact on the natural environment.
After the snowmobile ride, you’ll return to the meeting point from where you can continue on your Iceland adventure.
