After meeting up with your guide and group at Jökulsárlón, you’ll suit up in drysuits and safety gear. Your guide will also get a safety briefing before heading out on the water. You’ll spend about 1-hour kayaking among the icebergs on the lagoon. You can enjoy the stunning view of Vatnajökull, Europe’s largest glacier, from the water. As the glacier slowly crawls, huge chunks of ice fall off and land in the glacier lagoon. The lagoon is ever-changing, and the icebergs floating on the lagoon have come in different forms and colors. This makes each tour a unique and memorable experience. During the tour, you might also come across some of the local inhabitants; wild seals and birds are a common sight in Jökulsárlón.
Check out the Glacier Kayak Adventure Tour for a longer glacier kayaking tour.
