• If your pickup point is Bus Stop #12, please wait opposite Storm Hotel
• Pickup arrangements can vary depending on the option selected when booking, so always check your booking confirmation for your exact pickup location and time
• Icelandic weather can change quickly. Dress in warm, waterproof and windproof layers
• All tickets are electronic, so you do not need to print your voucher
• The itinerary and timing may change due to weather, road or other operating conditions

Departure from Reykjavík

Your Golden Circle & Secret Lagoon Tour begins in Reykjavík. After pickup, meet your professional BusTravel Iceland guide and set off towards the Golden Circle.

The full-day experience lasts approximately 10 hours and combines five highlights of Southwest Iceland with geothermal bathing at the Secret Lagoon.

Kerið Volcanic Crater

Your first major stop is Kerið, a colourful volcanic crater formed around 6,500 years ago.

Walk along the crater and admire the contrast between its red volcanic rock, green vegetation and blue crater lake. Entrance to Kerið is included in the tour.

Secret Lagoon – Approximately 2 Hours

Next, travel to Flúðir for a relaxing visit to the Secret Lagoon, also known as Gamla Laugin.

Spend approximately 2 hours at this historic geothermal pool, where the water naturally stays around 38–40°C throughout the year. Steam vents, hot springs and geothermal activity surround the lagoon, creating an authentic Icelandic bathing experience.

Secret Lagoon admission is included. Remember to bring your swimsuit and towel; rentals are also available at the lagoon for an additional fee.

Geysir Geothermal Area – Approximately 1 Hour

Continue to the Geysir geothermal area in Haukadalur Valley.

Explore steaming vents, bubbling hot springs and the famous Strokkur geyser, which typically erupts every 5–10 minutes. There are also restaurants and facilities in the area, making this a convenient stop to purchase food.

Gullfoss Waterfall – Approximately 45 Minutes

A short drive brings you to magnificent Gullfoss Waterfall.

Fed by the glacial Hvítá River, Gullfoss plunges in two stages into a dramatic canyon. Follow the viewing paths to experience one of Iceland’s most famous waterfalls from different perspectives.

Þingvellir National Park

The final Golden Circle highlight is Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Discover the remarkable rift landscape created by the movement of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Þingvellir also holds enormous historical importance as the site where Iceland’s Alþingi was established in 930 AD.

Return to Reykjavík

After exploring Þingvellir, relax on the journey back to Reykjavík.

By the end of the day, you’ll have experienced volcanic landscapes, geothermal bathing, erupting geysers, Gullfoss waterfall and one of Iceland’s most important historical sites — all on one Golden Circle adventure.
