Combine two unforgettable Icelandic experiences on a Golden Circle and Silfra Snorkeling Tour from Reykjavik. Snorkel between tectonic plates in the crystal-clear waters of Silfra before exploring the famous sights of Iceland’s Golden Circle.
This approximately 10-hour adventure includes convenient transportation from Reykjavík and combines natural beauty, Icelandic history and an extraordinary underwater experience in one day.
Visit Þingvellir National Park, Silfra Fissure, Geysir, Gullfoss Waterfall and Kerið Crater while travelling through some of Southwest Iceland’s most remarkable landscapes.
Experience the incredible underwater world of Silfra Fissure in Þingvellir National Park.
Silfra is famous for its exceptionally clear glacial water and underwater visibility that can reach up to 100 metres. The fissure lies within the tectonic rift zone between the North American and Eurasian plates, creating a unique setting for your snorkeling adventure.
You will wear a thermal undersuit and drysuit to help keep you warm while floating through the cold, clear water. Your snorkeling equipment is provided, and your guide will also take complimentary underwater photos during the experience.
Afterwards, warm up with hot chocolate and cookies.
The adventure also takes you to the highlights of the famous Golden Circle.
Explore Þingvellir National Park, one of Iceland’s most important historical and geological sites. Iceland’s Alþingi parliament was established here in 930 AD, and the surrounding landscape clearly reveals the forces that continue to shape the country.
Continue to the Geysir geothermal area, where bubbling hot springs and erupting Strokkur demonstrate Iceland’s geothermal power.
Next, visit magnificent Gullfoss Waterfall, where the Hvítá river plunges dramatically through a rugged canyon.
The journey also includes Kerið Crater, a colourful volcanic crater that provides another fascinating glimpse into Iceland’s geological history.
This combination tour brings together one of Iceland’s classic sightseeing routes and one of its most distinctive outdoor activities.
With transportation from Reykjavík, snorkeling equipment and professional guidance arranged for you, the Golden Circle and Silfra Snorkeling Tour from Reykjavik is an exciting way to experience Iceland both above and below the surface.
