There is a long tradition of bathing in Iceland’s geothermal waters. Throughout its history, Icelanders have met in hot pools to relax and relieve themselves of the day’s hard work. Since its opening, Geosea has been popular among Icelanders and locals alike. In a way, our sea baths serve as a cultural center where locals come to discuss the day’s happenings – taking part in a custom ingrained in Iceland’s cultural fabric.
At our swim-up bar, you can treat yourself to a refreshing soft drink or alcoholic beverage while relaxing in the warm water – a rare luxury in Iceland. We also have a special dining area where you can enjoy refreshments in a cozy bathrobe.
A visit to Geosea is a healing experience. Packed with minerals, the geothermal seawater gently caresses and revitalizes the skin. The warm water (38-39°C) relaxes the muscles and stimulates circulation within the body, leaving you feeling deeply rejuvenated. A visit to our steam room can also help alleviate stress and calm the senses. In the showers, we treat our guests with shower gel, shampoo, and hair conditioner from the Icelandic natural skin care company Sóley Organics.
Reservations can be canceled 48 hours prior to departure without penalty. Cancellations received less than 48 hours prior to departure are non-refundable.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@iat.is.
