Join our unforgettable Diving Silfra Tour from Reykjavik and experience one of the world’s most unique dive sites. This guided adventure departs from Reykjavik with convenient pick-up from your hotel or a designated bus stop. From there, we drive to Thingvellir National Park, just 45 minutes away, where the famous Silfra fissure awaits.
At Silfra, you will dive between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates in some of the clearest water on Earth, with visibility often exceeding 100 meters. Your certified guide will share insights into the geological and cultural history of Thingvellir before helping you into a dry suit and preparing your dive equipment.
The tour explores the four main sections of Silfra:
The Big Crack
Silfra Hall
Silfra Cathedral
Silfra Lagoon
The single-dive tour lasts about three hours, with 30–40 minutes spent underwater. After surfacing, you can warm up with hot chocolate and biscuits while enjoying the stunning scenery of Thingvellir.
