Akureyri Express Whales in the Midnight Sun
Experience and get close to the incredible humpback whales of Eyjafjörður, starting from the capital of North Iceland, Akureyri. With only 12 passengers on each boat, we can guarantee an intimate whale-watching tour that will be the adventure of a lifetime.
Our specially made RIB boats allow you to get closer to the whales and wildlife than any other boat can offer. The RIBs are fast and small boats that will also get you quicker to the whales and cover a bigger area as we search for wildlife. This means a bigger chance of spotting whales, dolphins, and bird life without disturbing them in their natural habitat. The whales never fully sleep, so you can expect to see the same whales as on our day tours!

NOTE: This tour is not suitable for pregnant women and those with a history of back injuries. Please consult your doctor before booking this tour. Passengers must be 10 years old or at least 145 cm or taller to participate in this tour.
Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations can be canceled 24 hours prior to departure without penalty. Cancellations received less than 24 hours prior to departure are non-refundable.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@iat.is.
Please be mindful of possible time zone differences. Iceland is in the GMT time zone and cancellations must be submitted at least 24 hours before departure in Icelandic local time (GMT).
