2-Day South Coast & Ice Cave Tour from Reykjavik

Discover waterfalls, black sand beaches, glaciers and ice caves on a 2-Day South Coast and Ice Cave Tour from Reykjavik. Travel in a small group along Iceland’s spectacular South Coast and explore some of the country’s most famous natural wonders.

Visit Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss, Reynisfjara, Skaftafell, Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach. You will also experience an ice cave or glacier adventure, depending on the season and conditions.

The tour includes one night of accommodation with a private bathroom and breakfast the following morning.

Discover Iceland’s South Coast

Your adventure begins in Reykjavík before travelling east along Iceland’s famous Ring Road.

First, visit the beautiful Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls. On a clear day, you may also enjoy views towards Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull.

Next, continue towards Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach and the coastal village of Vík.

After a full day of sightseeing, travel towards your accommodation in the South Iceland countryside.

Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon & Diamond Beach

On the second day, continue deeper into Iceland’s spectacular glacier region.

Visit Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where enormous icebergs drift through the water after breaking away from the nearby glacier.

Then, explore Diamond Beach. Here, pieces of glacier ice wash onto the black volcanic shoreline and create an unforgettable contrast.

From May to October, an optional Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon boat tour may also be available for an additional cost.

Ice Cave or Glacier Adventure

The glacier experience changes with the seasons and natural conditions.

During winter, the tour normally visits the spectacular Crystal Ice Cave. However, glacier and weather conditions constantly change. Therefore, your guides may choose another natural ice cave when necessary.

From April to October, the planned experience is the Ice Cave Under the Volcano. If conditions make the cave inaccessible, the tour includes a glacier hike instead.

Certified guides always choose the experience according to current safety and glacier conditions.

Small-Group Adventure with Overnight Accommodation

Travel by minibus with an experienced guide and enjoy a small-group journey through South Iceland.

Your overnight accommodation includes a private bathroom, while breakfast is included on the second morning.

During periods of darkness, you may also have the opportunity to see the Northern Lights near your accommodation. However, aurora sightings depend on weather and solar activity and cannot be guaranteed.

The 2-Day South Coast and Ice Cave Tour from Reykjavik combines some of Iceland’s greatest landscapes with an unforgettable glacier adventure.
