Discover waterfalls, black sand beaches, glaciers and ice caves on a 2-Day South Coast and Ice Cave Tour from Reykjavik. Travel in a small group along Iceland’s spectacular South Coast and explore some of the country’s most famous natural wonders.
Visit Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss, Reynisfjara, Skaftafell, Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach. You will also experience an ice cave or glacier adventure, depending on the season and conditions.
The tour includes one night of accommodation with a private bathroom and breakfast the following morning.
Your adventure begins in Reykjavík before travelling east along Iceland’s famous Ring Road.
First, visit the beautiful Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls. On a clear day, you may also enjoy views towards Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull.
Next, continue towards Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach and the coastal village of Vík.
After a full day of sightseeing, travel towards your accommodation in the South Iceland countryside.
On the second day, continue deeper into Iceland’s spectacular glacier region.
Visit Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where enormous icebergs drift through the water after breaking away from the nearby glacier.
Then, explore Diamond Beach. Here, pieces of glacier ice wash onto the black volcanic shoreline and create an unforgettable contrast.
From May to October, an optional Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon boat tour may also be available for an additional cost.

During winter, the tour normally visits the spectacular Crystal Ice Cave. However, glacier and weather conditions constantly change. Therefore, your guides may choose another natural ice cave when necessary.
From April to October, the planned experience is the Ice Cave Under the Volcano. If conditions make the cave inaccessible, the tour includes a glacier hike instead.

Your adventure begins with pickup from your selected pickup location in Reykjavík. Please allow up to 30 minutes for the pickup process.
Then, travel east along Route 1 and begin exploring Iceland’s spectacular South Coast.
First, visit Seljalandsfoss, one of Iceland’s most distinctive waterfalls.
When conditions allow, you can follow the path behind the falling water. However, expect spray and slippery conditions near the waterfall.
Next, continue to the powerful Skógafoss Waterfall.
On a clear day, the journey also offers views towards the glacier-covered volcano Eyjafjallajökull and nearby Mýrdalsjökull.
Continue towards Reynisfjara, famous for its black volcanic sand and dramatic basalt columns.
Powerful Atlantic waves reach the shoreline here. Therefore, always follow local safety warnings and keep a safe distance from the ocean.
The journey continues through Vík, a small coastal village surrounded by dramatic South Coast landscapes.
Later, travel deeper into South Iceland towards your overnight accommodation.
