Experience one of the most breathtaking adventures in Iceland with our Glacier Lagoon Helicopter Tour. This once-in-a-lifetime journey combines dramatic coastlines, towering glaciers, and remote volcanic landscapes. Therefore, it is an experience you will never forget.
Your tour begins in Reykjavík. From here, we fly east along Iceland’s spectacular South Coast. Along the way, you will admire endless stretches of black sand beaches, cascading waterfalls, and the world-famous Eyjafjallajökull glacier volcano.
Once we arrive at Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, we pause for 30–45 minutes. During this stop, you can choose optional activities such as a boat ride, iceberg exploration, and even seal watching.
Afterward, we continue west, soaring over the mighty Vatnajökull glacier tongues, Iceland’s highest peak, and the untouched wilderness of Fjallabak Nature Reserve. In addition, you will see braided rivers, volcanic valleys, colorful rhyolite mountains, and geothermal landscapes around Landmannalaugar and Hraftinnusker.
The tour includes three scenic landings. First, we land at the glacier lagoon. Then, depending on your interest, the pilot chooses two additional stops. Most often, we visit Fimmvörðuháls by Eyjafjallajökull and the Hraftinnusker geothermal area. Finally, a delicious packed lunch is served at a stunning picnic spot chosen by your pilot.
Tour Duration: Full-day adventure with multiple stops.
Clothing: Wear sturdy shoes, warm jackets, hats, and gloves. Although the helicopter is comfortable, Icelandic mountaintops can be cold and windy.
