Discover the magic of Iceland’s highlands on our Þórsmörk Super Jeep Tour, an unforgettable adventure into the Valley of Thor. This day trip combines breathtaking scenery, thrilling river crossings, and the raw power of Icelandic nature.
Your journey begins with a convenient pick-up from your accommodation in Reykjavík. Our professional guide will collect you in a modified super jeep, built to handle Iceland’s rugged terrain. Pick-up starts 30 minutes before departure and can take up to half an hour.
We head east along Iceland’s spectacular South Coast, passing black sand plains and towering mountains. Our first highlight is Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, a 60-meter cascade famous for the unique path that allows you to walk behind the curtain of water.
Next, we venture deeper into the valley to visit Gígjökull Glacier, an outlet of the mighty Eyjafjallajökull volcano. This glacier became world-famous during the 2010 eruption, which disrupted air travel across Europe.
As we make our way toward Þórsmörk, our jeep will tackle numerous river and stream crossings, showcasing why these powerful vehicles are essential for exploring Iceland’s highlands. This is where the adventure truly begins.
Once in Þórsmörk Nature Reserve, you’ll be surrounded by dramatic mountains, birch forests, and sweeping views. This area is perfect for short hikes and photography, offering a true sense of Iceland’s untouched wilderness.
This tour is suitable for all adventure seekers who want to experience Iceland’s raw landscapes in comfort and style. Please wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring warm, waterproof clothing for changing conditions.
Join us for a Þórsmörk Super Jeep Tour and immerse yourself in one of Iceland’s most stunning valleys—a place where legends meet landscapes.
