We recommend that you do not arrive at Sky Lagoon with an empty stomach. Eat something light and nutritious to get the most out of your experience. Snacks are available at Sky Café.
It’s very important that you stay hydrated during your visit to Sky Lagoon. This will help ensure you get the most out of your experience and stay healthy.
You’ll find drinking water fountains in changing rooms and at the Lagoon. Drinks are also available for purchase at the Lagoon Bar.
Please limit alcohol consumption to three (3) alcoholic drinks per adult while you’re enjoying the lagoon. Anyone who is intoxicated is not allowed to access the lagoon.
We offer towels free of charge but you\\\’re more than welcome to bring your own towel to use in our facilities.
We have two tiers of changing facilities:
Showering is required before entering the lagoon. Bathing suits are obligatory—we offer rentals and new ones for purchase. Towels are free of charge for all guests. Hairdryers are available in both.
Yes. Our facilities are wheelchair accessible. This includes accessible change rooms, showers and a chairlift for entering the lagoon. We also offer private changing spaces for guests that prefer a more private changing environment.
At its deepest point, the lagoon is 120 cm (4’9” ft).
The Lagoon is approximately 38–40°C (100–104° F). Icelandic weather can often have a dramatic effect on the guest experience and the temperature can vary.
The recommended time is 1,5–2 hours. It’s very important that you stay hydrated whilst enjoying the warm water. This will help ensure you get the most out of your experience and stay healthy.
Upon arrival, you will be given a wristband that works as your locker key as well as a credit card for all purchases during your SKY experience. When you book, we’ll attach your credit card to this wristband. It also allows you to exit at the end of your experience.
Children under the age of 12 are not permitted at Sky Lagoon. Children 12–14 must be accompanied by a guardian (18 years or older).
We recommend that families use the Sky Pass’ premium changing rooms for space and privacy.
Gift cards are available for purchase at Sky Lagoon reception.
Reservations can be canceled 48 hours prior to departure without penalty. Cancellations received less than 48 hours prior to departure are non-refundable.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@iat.is.
Please be mindful of possible time zone differences. Iceland is in the GMT time zone and cancellations must be submitted at least 48 hours before departure in Icelandic local time (GMT).
If you do need to cancel your tour, we recommend that you contact us as soon as possible.
From Hlemmur square take Kringlumýrabraut (route 40). Continue on to Kársnesbraut and head to Vesturvör. The drive only takes around 15 minutes from central Reykjavík and parking is free outside Sky Lagoon.
Walking/biking from central Reykjavík
From Hlemmur square take Rauðarárstígur for 5.9km. Then take Suðurhlíð and head to Vesturvör. Total of 6km/1h15min
Bus from central Reykjavík
From Hlemmur square, take bus no. 4 and stop in Hamraborg (15 min). From there take bus no. 35 until you stop at Hafnarbraut (4 min), which is the nearest stop to Sky Lagoon. Follow the signs and walk for a few minutes down Hafnarbraut until you reach Vesturvör. Walk along the ocean and you will arrive before you know it. Visit straeto.is for more information.
