Myvatn Nature Baths is a traditional and tastefully designed complex offering a completely natural experience you can enjoy with your day admission ticket.
The two steam baths are built on top of a geothermal area, and the sulfur steam rises through holes in the floor. The water of the Myvatn Nature Baths is drawn from a borehole that goes 2,500 meters into the ground.
The water has a high concentration of minerals and is well suited for bathing.
Before or after bathing, you can enjoy a light meal and drinks at Café Kvika in a beautiful setting with views of the stunning natural surroundings.
Please bring your swimsuit and towel. However, it’s possible to rent it at the facilities.
You can not bring your own alcohol to the lagoon. You can buy a beer/wine bracelet at the reception and the staff member who is working outside will bring your drink.
You buy the bracelet at the entrance (max 3 beers or 2 glasses of wine) and the staff member who is working outside will bring your drink. You can also use your phone, your card or your watch at the bar.
The water is well suited for bathing with temperatures ranging from 36-40C°.
You can rent a towel at the reception if you forget your towel.
