A Small Guided Tour – Discover the Golden Circle, Sky Lagoon Spa, and Kerid Volcanic Crater

Explore some of the country’s landmarks during this exciting group guided tour around the Golden Circle and its surroundings. You experience Icelandic nature’s uniqueness and powerful force when visiting the geysers, rift valleys at Thingvellir, waterfalls, volcanic craters, and a spectacular geothermal spa at Sky Lagoon, right by the sea, all in one day!

What will you visit?

The day starts with the Golden Circle’s first stop: Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage. Here, we witness the fascinating aftermath of continental tectonic plate drift, which formed deep fissures in the crust and gave way to a beautiful waterfall. Thingvellir (“Assembly Field”) is also an important historical and cultural site. It is indeed here that the world’s first parliament assembled in 930 to create laws, dispense justice, and talk about other societal subjects.
We continue the Golden Circle’s exploration and visit Haukadalur geothermal area. Here we find fumaroles, mud pots, and the geyser Stokkur! The latter shoots its warm water column up to 15 meters every 10 minutes! It is an unforgettable experience!
After a short drive, we arrive at the mighty Gullfoss waterfall. It is an incredible two-step chute fed by the melting water from Langjökull glacier and thunders down 30 meters into a deep ravine. The water spray surrounding the waterfall creates a mist that envelops the immediate area, so we might get a little wet if we get too close!
We now drive south to visit Kerid, a unique volcanic crater. Kerid is only a few thousand years old, and the crater’s colorful appearance comes from iron deposits in the rocks. The caldera is also covered with lush banks of velvet-green moss. Inside is a shallow turquoise-colored lake, making Kerid one of the most striking sights in Iceland.
Before we return to the capital, we stop at Iceland’s newest spa, the Sky Lagoon, for a delicious soak. We spend two luxurious hours enjoying the seven-step ritual experience (inspired by Icelandic traditions) and its facilities, including a sauna, a swim-up bar hidden in a cave, and a café. The jewel of the site is the unobstructed ocean views from the pool!
Where else can you experience so much in one trip? Only Iceland delivers memorable experiences like this, and we take you there! Please don’t wait any longer, and join us now!
