At Þingvellir, you can see where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates are drifting apart and learn more about Icelandic history. Þingvellir is where the Alþing general assembly was established around 930 AD. You’ll visit the geyser Strokkur erupt at regular intervals at the Geysir hot spring area, a sight sure to amaze you. You’ll also see one of Iceland’s most famous waterfalls, Gullfoss. This waterfall has been voted one of the world’s most beautiful, and you will get to see why with your own eyes!
This tour of the Golden Circle would not be complete without a visit to Efstidalur, an Icelandic dairy farm. Run by the same family since 1850, this farm focuses on cows and cattle breeding. Here you’ll be able to enjoy some tasty dairy products straight from the farm. Included in the tour is a taste of their delicious ice cream, which you can enjoy while petting some friendly animals.
