Departing from Reykjavík, this tour takes you to all the highlights of the Golden Circle. These include Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss Waterfall, and Geysir hot spring area. Þingvellir is rich with history and natural beauty. Here, the general assembly Alþing was established in 930 AD. As you visit, you can learn more about the park and its historic events. Þingvellir is also where you can clearly see how the North American and Eurasian Tectonic plates are slowly moving apart. Next, you will visit the Geysir hot spring area in Haukadalur. Here you will be able to see the geyser Strokkur erupt with regular intervals. The final stop on the Golden Circle is Gullfoss waterfall.
