The Silfra diving tour begins with your guide introducing the history and geology of the fissure. After a full safety and site briefing, you will be assisted with your dry suit and dive equipment. Your Silfra dry suit diving experience takes you through four unforgettable areas: the Big Crack, Silfra Hall, Silfra Cathedral, and the Silfra Lagoon. Each part of the fissure offers incredible visibility and vibrant underwater scenery that make diving in Silfra truly unique.
The entire Silfra dive tour lasts around three hours, with 30–40 minutes spent in the water. After surfacing from this unforgettable Silfra dive experience, you will warm up with hot chocolate and biscuits while enjoying the beauty of Thingvellir National Park.
To join this Diving Silfra tour, participants must meet the following:
Certified diver (PADI Open Water or equivalent).
Dry suit diving certification with recent logged dives, or proof of 10 dry suit dives in the last two years.
Signed Diving Silfra Medical Statement and liability release.
Height 150–200 cm, weight 45–120 kg, age 17+, and fit within dry suit sizing.
Be in good health, physically fit, fluent in English, and not pregnant.

We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 1 day or less before event.
We will charge a cancellation fee of 10% if booking is cancelled 999 days or less before event.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@iat.is.
Please be mindful of possible time zone differences. Iceland is in the GMT time zone and cancellations must be submitted at least 24 hours before departure in Icelandic local time (GMT).
If you do need to cancel your tour, we recommend that you contact us as soon as possible.
