Private South Coast Tour

The Icelandic South Coast is considered the most impressive part of the island. It’s full of breathtaking views of the shore and mountains on the other side of the road, abounds with countless waterfalls and glacier outlooks. You can find many fascinating museums and exhibitions here and join exciting activities, like exploring the ice cave, glacier hiking, horseback riding on the black sand beach, spotting puffins, zip lines, and much more!

The pick-up for this tour is from Reykjavik or Keflavik Airport; please contact us at info@iat.is if you want to start the tour from another location.

The standard Private South Coast Tour includes:

Seljandsfoss Waterfall – a unique 60 meters high waterfall. It’s iconic because you can walk behind the cascading water. Raincoats are highly recommended here!

Skógafoss Waterfall one of the country’s biggest and most beloved waterfalls, often accompanied by a rainbow. You can climb the stairs to its top and enjoy the view from above.

Sólheimajökull Glacier – easily accessible (15 minutes walk from the car park), stunning glacier. You can admire it from many viewpoints or book a glacier hike tour.

Dyrhólaey Arch (puffins in summer) – a small peninsula characterized by unique rock formations and a fantastic view of the black beach. In summer, it is a great spot to observe puffins.

Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach – Iceland’s most popular and gorgeous black sand beach is famous for its basalt columns, rock formations, caves, and sea stacks. The waves of the Atlantic Ocean are impressive but dangerous – please remember to keep the proper distance from the water.

Vík í Mýrdal – the lovely town and tourist base, a place of many restaurants, and where the ice cave and horseback riding tours start.

Please look below at the other activities we can arrange for you, and contact us at info@iat.is if you want to add anything to the tour. If the tour duration is significantly changed due to the other adventures, the price will be 210 000 ISK (up to 12 hours) or 230 000 ISK (up to 14 hours).
