Economy Airport Transfer | KEF Airport to Reykjavik + Hotel Drop Off
Fixed scheduled bus transfers between Keflavik Airport and Reykjavik Terminal within the city center, we operate 24/7 every day, all year round, and align our schedule with every flight.
Upon arrival at Keflavik International Airport, you will find the Airport Direct transport service desk in the arrivals hall, and our buses are located right in front of the airport.
Hotel Drop Off
On the way to Reykjavik, we make one stop, at Hamraborg. We end at our Reykjavik Terminal, at Skogarhlid 10, zip 105 Reykjavik.
Then you need to change the bus to the minibus, and we will drop you off at your hotel, guesthouse, or designated bus stop if you are staying in downtown Reykjavik which has a restriction on buses and larger vehicles.
The restricted area is because Reykjavik City aims to keep the small-scale city center a pleasant and safe place for everyone with less bus traffic. Hence, the city of Reykjavik offers special pick-up and drop-off places.
The bus stops are located in and around the city center and are easily accessible. Most hotels in the restricted area are within a 5-10 minute walking distance from bus stops. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you’re unsure which drop-off location you should choose.
Flexible tickets
Book a flexible ticket. You choose a date and time, but if your flight changes for some reason and you have a flexible ticket, you can hop on the next bus if that fits better. You can also change the date and time of your transfer as you want before your booked transfer. If you need to move your airport transfer, email info@airportdirect.is or visit us at Keflavik International Airport or Reykavik Terminal, and we will help you out.
Frequently Asked Questions
According to Icelandic law children must sit in a child seat. We do provide child seats. However, you need to request one beforehand in the booking process. If you forgot, then please contact us at info@airportdirect.is and please specify the weight and age of your child.
Passengers with disabilities intending to travel with Airport Direct are asked to contact us with at least 24 hours notice in order for us to see if we are able to cater to your needs.
Packaged and unpackaged bicycles can be transported if space is available at an extra fee. For maximum efficiency in the luggage compartment, preferably packaged in boxes. If unpackaged, then they must have the pedals removed and the chain covered. Additional luggage will be loaded as space allows and is subject to additional charges.
Should you be travelling with more luggage than is estimated per person we recommend you send us an e-mail (info@airportdirect.is) or call our main office +354 497-8000, in order for us to make appropriate arrangements before your arrival.
Reservations can be canceled 24 hours prior to departure without penalty. Cancellations received less than 24 hours prior to departure are non-refundable.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@iat.is.
Please be mindful of possible time zone differences. Iceland is in the GMT time zone and cancellations must be submitted at least 24 hours before departure in Icelandic local time (GMT).
If you do need to cancel your transfer, we recommend that you contact us as soon as possible.
