Day 1 – Golden Circle & South Coast

Your 6-day adventure begins with pickup from your accommodation in Reykjavík.

First, explore the famous Golden Circle. Visit Þingvellir National Park, the geothermal area at Geysir and the powerful Gullfoss Waterfall.

Then, continue towards Iceland’s spectacular South Coast. Visit Seljalandsfoss, where you can walk behind the waterfall when conditions allow.

Next, stop at the impressive Skógafoss Waterfall before continuing to Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach. Here, discover dramatic basalt columns, black volcanic sand and views towards the Reynisdrangar sea stacks.

Finally, travel towards your countryside accommodation near Kirkjubæjarklaustur for your first night.

Day 2 – Skaftafell, Glacier Adventure & Jökulsárlón

After breakfast, continue towards Skaftafell and Vatnajökull National Park.

Today includes one of the main adventures of the tour. During summer, join a guided glacier hike on an outlet glacier of Vatnajökull. During winter, experience an ice cave adventure, when conditions allow.

Next, visit spectacular Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where icebergs drift across the glacial water.

You will also explore nearby Diamond Beach, where pieces of glacier ice wash onto the black volcanic shoreline.

Afterwards, continue to your accommodation in Southeast Iceland for the night.

Day 3 – Eastfjords & Wilderness Center

Today, travel into the beautiful Eastfjords, known for dramatic mountains, peaceful fjords and small coastal communities.

Explore Djúpivogur, a picturesque fishing village with a strong connection to nature and local culture.

The journey also takes you through East Iceland before visiting the Wilderness Center.

Here, discover stories and traditions from Iceland’s past in a living museum setting. Afterwards, relax with a traditional hot spring bathing experience.

Finally, settle in for the night surrounded by the peaceful landscapes of East Iceland.

Day 4 – North Iceland, Lake Mývatn & Akureyri

After breakfast, continue into the spectacular landscapes of North Iceland.

First, visit Stuðlagil Canyon, famous for its towering basalt columns and striking scenery.

Next, explore the geothermal area of Námaskarð, where bubbling mud pools, steam and colourful earth reveal Iceland’s volcanic power.

Continue towards Lake Mývatn and discover the unusual lava formations at Dimmuborgir.

You can also relax at the Earth Lagoon, formerly Mývatn Nature Baths. Admission can be added separately.

Later, visit the beautiful Goðafoss Waterfall before continuing to Akureyri, the largest town in North Iceland.

From September to April, keep an eye on the sky for the Northern Lights. However, sightings depend on weather and aurora activity and cannot be guaranteed.

Day 5 – Whale Watching, Tröllaskagi & Siglufjörður

Start the day with an exciting 3-hour whale watching tour from Dalvík.

Sail into Eyjafjörður and search for Iceland’s marine wildlife. Humpback whales and white-beaked dolphins are among the species you may encounter. However, wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed.

Afterwards, travel through the spectacular Tröllaskagi Peninsula.

Pass small fishing communities before stopping in Siglufjörður, a charming village surrounded by steep mountains and dramatic fjord scenery.

Finally, continue towards West Iceland, where you will spend the final night of the tour.

Day 6 – West Iceland & Return to Reykjavík

The final day takes you through the beautiful landscapes of West Iceland.

First, visit Deildartunguhver, one of Iceland’s most powerful geothermal springs.

Next, discover Hraunfossar, where clear water flows through a lava field into the river below. Nearby, visit the dramatic Barnafoss Waterfall.

Continue to historic Reykholt, once home to the famous Icelandic writer, historian and politician Snorri Sturluson.

Then, travel through the scenic landscapes around Hvalfjörður as you make your way back towards Reykjavík.
