After pickup in Reykjavík, you’ll embark on a 2-hour drive to the Sólheimajökull glacier. On the way, you can enjoy the dramatic landscape of the South Coast. Here you’ll find lush green fields, stunning waterfalls, and rugged cliffs that make for a scenic drive. Once at the Sólheimajökull Glacier you’ll gear up and walk to the glacier’s edge. After putting on your crampons and a safety briefing, your expert guide will take you on an unforgettable walk on the glacier. Here you will see Sólheimajökull’s many beautiful features, such as deep crevasses and ice sculptures.
After exploring the glacier, it’s time to head back to Reykjavík. Along the way, you’ll be able to visit two of the South Coasts most famous waterfalls, Skógarfoss and Seljalandsfoss. You can also visit the DC-3 Plane Wreck at Sólheimasandur, a bus ride to the wreck is included in your tour. After an eventful day, your guide will drop you off in Reykjavík at your selected location.
