The Stand Up Paddleboard on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula Tour (SUP)
The Snæfellsnes Peninsula is one of Iceland’s most beautiful areas. Often called “Iceland in miniature”, Snæfellsnes is home to many of Iceland’s most famous sights. On this small group tour, you will get to experience the magic of this area and enjoy an unforgettable SUP experience by Mt. Kirkjufell.
After pickup in Reykjavík, your guide will drive to Snæfellsnes. Along the way you can enjoy the landscape as you drive into West-Iceland. On the way, you’ll see lush farmlands and dramatic mountains, and perhaps some four-legged inhabitants! Once on the peninsula, you will explore some of it’s most beautiful sights. These include the charming village of Arnarstapi and it’s neighbor Hellnar. Here you can enjoy some dramatic cliff views and geological formations. You will also visit the black wooden church at Búðir and the Djúpalónssandur beach. Other stops include Stykkishólmur and Ytri-Tunga, where you can often see seals basking on the beach.
At Mt. Kirkjufell you will gear up and get on the stand up paddleboards! You do not need any prior SUP experience to enjoy this tour. Your guide will show you tips and tricks on how to paddle in these picture-perfect surroundings. This tour is a truly unique way to experience the famous Mt. Kirkjufell and see it from a different angle! After a great day on the Snæfellsnes peninsula, you will return to your selected location in Reykjavík.
Please note that SUP tours are highly dependent on weather and sea conditions. This tour can be changed or canceled with short notice for safety reasons. You do not need to have SUP experience to enjoy this tour, but you do need to meet some minimum requirements.
