On this tour, you will be picked up at your selected location in Reykjavík. From there, you will start your exploration of the South Coast. You’ll start by visiting the main base in South Iceland where you will suit up in warm overalls and safety gear. Next, you’ll ride a glacier truck up to the snowmobile base on the glacier. From the snowmobile base, you will ride up to the top of the Mýrdalsjökull glacier.
During the tour, you will have plenty of opportunities to take pictures and film the stunning landscape that surrounds you. From the top of the glacier, you will experience amazing views over South Iceland. The snowmobile tour is about 2 hours in total, with 1 hour spent on the snowmobiles. After the snowmobile tour, you will return to the main base. From there you’ll go sightseeing to two of the South Coasts most famous waterfalls. You will stop at both Skógarfoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfall before returning to Reykjavík.
This tour is a great choice for adult travelers, as well as for families with kids 5 years of age and older. This is a day tour from Reykjavík, making it a great excursion for those who prefer not to drive a rental car in Iceland.

Yes, you must have a valid driving license and be at least 18 years of age to operate the snowmobile.
If you do not have a valid license, you can ride in the back of the snowmobile of your licensed travel partner. Kids also ride on the back of their parents’ snowmobiles, who must hold a valid license.
The standard price for the tour includes a double ride, which means that two persons ride together on one snowmobile.
If you would like to ride the snowmobile by yourself, you can book a single ride at an additional cost.
Note that snowmobiles are not shared with other guests on the tour, so if you are traveling by yourself or in a group with odd numbers, such as 3 or 5, you must book a single ride for one person.
You should wear warm, windproof clothing in addition to good, sturdy shoes. Keep in mind that the weather in Iceland can change quickly, so it’s essential to wear proper clothing.
You will be supplied with warm overalls and safety gear on location for the snowmobile tour, but you should still dress in warm clothing underneath your overalls.
No, lunch is not included but your guide will make some stops where you can buy lunch and snacks. You are also welcome to bring a packed lunch.

Reservations can be canceled 2 weeks (14 days) hours prior to departure for a 90% refund. If a tour is cancelled less than 2 weeks prior to departure, but more than 48 hours prior to departure, a 70% refund is given. Cancellations received less than 48 hours prior to departure are non-refundable.
