On this tour, you will meet up with your expert guides on location close to the Húsafell area. During winter you will ride in a specially modified vehicle up to the glacier’s edge. From here you will ride snowmobiles on Langjökull Glacier. This is a wonderful way to transfer to the Into the Glacier tour, a tour that takes you into a glacier through a man-made ice tunnel. The ice tunnel and the caves are located high on Iceland‘s second largest glacier. While inside you get to see, touch and even taste the Langjökull glacier.

Yes, you must have a valid driving license and be at least 18 years of age to operate the snowmobile.
If you do not have a valid license, you can ride in the back of the snowmobile of your licensed travel partner. Kids also ride on the back of their parents snowmobiles, who must hold a valid license.
The meeting point for this tour during the summer season is at the Jaki Base Camp. The road from Húsafell is about 20 km, but please keep in mind that this is a mountain road so you should allow plenty of time for the drive.
During the winter months, we highly recommend that you book this tour with the pickup in Húsafell option.
The road from Húsafell to the base camp at Jaki is closed for public traffic during the winter months, therefore transfer between Húsafell to Jaki in included in the winter months.
Please be on location at Húsafell at least 15 minutes before the start of your tour in the winter months. For example, if your tour is booked at 10:00, you should be ready at the meeting point at 09:45.
You should wear warm, windproof clothing in addition to good, sturdy shoes. Keep in mind that the weather in Iceland can change quickly, so it’s essential to wear proper clothing.
Reservations can be canceled 24 hours prior to departure without penalty. Cancellations received less than 24 hours prior to departure are non-refundable.

Please be mindful of possible time zone differences. Iceland is in the GMT time zone and cancellations must be submitted at least 24 hours before departure in Icelandic local time (GMT).
