This 4-day tour combines some of the best that Iceland has to offer in the winter season. During your stay, you’ll experience a super jeep adventure to Þórsmörk and visit the stunning South Coast of Iceland. You’ll even hike on the Sólheimajökull glacier with crampons. You will also visit the hot river of Reykjadalur, or visit the famous Golden Circle. If conditions are good, you will also be able to view the elusive Northern Lights.
The weather in Iceland is unpredictable and ever-changing, so the itinerary for the tour is kept flexible so that you get the best experience no matter the weather! Accommodations are provided in a 6-bed dorm during your stay. Upgrades to private rooms are available upon request, at additional cost. The accommodations feature a rooftop hot pot, restaurant, bar, café and more. Meals are included in the tour, and you can purchase drinks on location.

Yes, you can choose to either be picked up at Keflavík International Airport if you are arriving in Iceland on day 1 (before 11:00 in the morning) or you can be picked up in Reykjavík.
At the end of the tour, you also have a choice of being dropped off in Reykjavík or at Keflavík International Airport if your flight is departing on that day at 19:00 in the evening or later.

Reservations can be canceled 2 weeks (14 days) prior to departure for a 70% refund. 30% of the tour price is non-refundable. Cancellations received less than 2 weeks (14 days) prior to departure are non-refundable.

Day 1: Arrival in Iceland & The Reykjanes peninsula
If you arrive at Keflavík International Airport before 11:00, you can choose to be picked up at the airport. Alternatively, you can be picked up in Reykjavík or at a guesthouse in Keflavík. It’s also possible to be picked up at the Blue Lagoon if you arrive very early in the morning.
Once everybody is on board, it’s time to explore the Reykjanes peninsula. Often overlooked by visitors, the Reykjanes peninsula is a very unique area of Iceland. Here you can see stunning geological formations, incredible sea views and even boiling mud pots. You’ll also enjoy a delicious lunch in this area.
Afterward, it’s time to head to the South Coast where you’ll find your accommodations. After arrival, you can either visit the nearby Lava Centre (not included) or simply relax at the base camp. The base camp features a rooftop sauna and hot pot, a restaurant, bar and more.
In the evening an Icelandic dinner will be served, and you’ll have a chance to get to know the people in your group. If the conditions are good in the evening, you’ll go out looking for the Northern Lights before enjoying a good nights rest.
Day 2: South Coast and Glacier Adventure
After breakfast in the morning, it’s time to explore the South Coast. This area of Iceland is famous for its wealth of stunning attractions. Possible stops during the day include the Seljalandsfoss and Skógarfoss waterfalls, the black sand beach of Reynisfjara, Dyrhólaey and the charming village of Vík. Your guide will prepare and adjust the itinerary for the day based on daylight and weather conditions.
After lunch, you’ll visit the Sólheimajökull Glacier where you’ll put on some crampons and go on an easy glacier walk with crampons. Once you arrive back at base camp in the afternoon, you can, for example, visit the local swimming pool.
After dinner in the evening, you can either enjoy relaxing at the base camp or, if you’re still full of energy, your guide can arrange an outdoor activity for you. If conditions are good, you can look for the Northern Lights in the sky above.
Day 3: Þórsmörk or Eyjafjallajökull Super Jeep Adventure
After breakfast in the morning, it’s time to head outside and check out some more spectacular sights! You’ll start the day by heading to Þórsmörk. Drawing its name from thunder God Thor, Þórsmörk is a site of incredible natural beauty. Its unique landscape is sure to take your breath away.
In the afternoon, you’ll explore the surroundings of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano. This famous volcano last erupted in 2010, causing major havoc in air traffic around the world. You’ll stop by the glacier outlet of Gígjökull, where the eruption first started.
Depending on the group, the weather and more, you’ll go on some nice hikes during the day. In the evening you’ll be served a delicious dinner and afterward you can either relax or enjoy an outdoor activity such as a bike ride from the base camp. And of course, you’ll go looking for Northern Lights if the conditions are good.
Day 4: Surprise day and Departure
After breakfast, it’s time to start the final day of this Northern Lights adventure holiday. Your guide will select the best possible activity for the group, based on weather conditions and more. Options include hiking up to the hot river in Reykjadalur or exploring the Golden Circle.
In the afternoon, you will be taken either to Reykjavík or Keflavík International Airport. If you are flying home on this day, you should be departing at 19:00 in the evening or later. It is also possible to be dropped off at the Blue Lagoon. Note that tickets to the Blue Lagoon are not included and must be booked in advance.
