Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to have a valid drivers license to drive a snowmobile?

Yes, you must have a valid driving license and be at least 18 years of age to operate the snowmobile.

If you do not have a valid license, you can ride in the back of the snowmobile of your licensed travel partner. Kids also ride on the back of their parents’ snowmobiles, who must hold a valid license.

How much time is spent riding the snowmobiles on this tour?

This tour includes 1 hour on snowmobiles and 1 hour of transportation to and from the glacier base camp.

What is the difference between a double ride and a single ride?

The standard price for the tour includes a double ride, which means that two persons ride together on one snowmobile.

If you would like to ride the snowmobile by yourself, you can book a single ride at an additional cost.

Note that snowmobiles are not shared with other guests on the tour, so if you are traveling by yourself or in a group with odd numbers, such as 3 or 5, you must book a single ride for one person.
