Fly Over Iceland
FlyOver Iceland is located in the exciting Grandi Harbor District. This all-season attraction takes you on a breathtaking journey across Iceland. Soar over land, sea, and ice. Move with the arctic winds.
FlyOver Iceland is an immersive flight experience. The ride utilizes state-of-the-art technology to give the guest the feeling of flight. Guests sit with feet dangling before a 20-meter spherical screen while our film whisks you away on an exhilarating journey across Iceland. Special effects, including wind, mist, and scents, combine with the ride’s motion to create an unforgettable experience.
Before your flight begins, you’ll be immersed in the magic of Iceland in pre-ride events. Our flight guides, a storyteller and resident troll Sú Vitra, will lead you through two unique adventures that’ll ignite your imagination with stories of Iceland, its people, and the natural forces at work.

The total duration of the experience is 30-35 minutes. We recommend reserving one hour for your visit to FlyOver Iceland.
Accessibility
AcFlyOver Iceland has no age limit; however, we cannot accommodate anyone in our flight ride under the height of 100 cm (40 inches). This experience is wheelchair accessible.

Shop & café
This beautifully designed house holds the FlyOver Iceland flight ride, pre-shows, and a souvenir shop with handpicked local items, photos from the ride, and unique souvenirs. The ground floor also houses a café where you can relax before or after your virtual flight.
Frequently Asked Questions
The entire experience lasts approximately 35 minutes. This includes the two preshow experiences by Moment Factory, the pre-flight briefing, and the 8.5 minutes you’ll spend on the Ultimate Flying Ride.

Please note, if you miss your selected time, your ticket is still valid for two days after your intended visit date and can be exchanged for the next available time.
Children must be at least 100cm/40″ tall in order to ride.
Yes! However, please note that FlyOver Iceland features an amusement ride involving motion. Our guests who use wheelchairs may go on the Ultimate Flying Ride only if they are able to transfer from their wheelchair to the ride seat by themselves or with the assistance of a companion. Otherwise, they may enjoy the film from a stationary position on the ride platform, accompanied by one of our flight guides. For safety reasons, in this situation, companions must go on the ride or wait off the ride platform. We ask that guests who will be arriving in wheelchairs please contact us in advance of their visit. There is no admission fee for a companion who is accompanying a paying disabled guest.
Reservations can be canceled 24 hours prior to departure without penalty. Cancellations received less than 24 hours prior to departure are non-refundable.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@iat.is.
Please be mindful of possible time zone differences. Iceland is in the GMT time zone and cancellations must be submitted at least 24 hours before departure in Icelandic local time (GMT).
If you do need to cancel your tour, we recommend that you contact us as soon as possible.
