Alone in a Hidden Ice Cave
Discover the untouched, dazzling scenery of a hidden natural ice cave!
The ice cave is off limits to any other tour operator, ENSURING that we will be ALONE in the ICE-CAVE for the whole duration of our visit (about 1 hour).
Embark on a super jeep or boat tour journey (pending on the season), and hike through the breathtaking unspoiled landscape that offers jaw-dropping vistas throughout the journey. The glacier and surrounding mountains offer great photo opportunities along the way. The cave’s natural shape and entrance make it exceptionally unique. It’s an easy but lengthy hike, approximately 8-10 km both ways.
You will be provided with a lunch pack to keep you energized during the tour. After the ice cave exploration, we invite you to savor a warm bowl of tomato soup and a hot drink at Frost restaurant before continuing your journey.
Our commitment is to offer a personalized experience. At Fjallsárlón, we offer excellent facilities for smooth check-in. Join us for a truly spectacular adventure into Iceland’s winter wonderland. If you want to avoid crowds and possible queuing, going into an ice cave is the right tour for you.
Please note that while our tour is considered “moderate,” it does involve some walking on uneven ground; we do not walk on the glacier.
We also offer private tours!
Warm and waterproof clothing, hiking shoes, and gloves are required! Please be well-prepared! 🙂
